      • COSMIC RANCH

        BORUCA, COSTA RICA

        $5,500 of $5,500 funded

Ulises Lázaro Morales has been a craftsman for more than 4 decades and has been working in tourism on his farm for 7 years, with cultural and ecological activities in Sacred places. His farm is located in the Boruca indigenous territory. In 2010, Ulises began to realize that his community was losing spiritual depth and contact with nature. While he thought about ideas for creative use of his lands, he set out to build a cosmic ranch to be used for spiritual purposes.

Rancho Brugrá is an ecotourism, ethnic tourism and artisan production project that aims to preserve the history and traditions of the indigenous territory of Boruca. The goal is to inspire a new economy and a more sustainable future in this region connecting travelers with the stories, traditions, crafts and natural beauty of Boruca ancestral land by building the cosmic ranch, and having a central place to invite people into the workshops.
