      • PUYANAWA, BRAZIL

        REFORESTATION OF CATTLE LAND

        broken image

        $0 of $25,000 funded

The area we wish to reforest is 100 hecartes, where we will plant over 100,000 trees.

The Puyanawa in Brazil were able to demarcate their stolen territory in the 1980's, but sadly by then 1,000's of hectares of the land had already been deforested. During the 1950's - 1970's large areas were cleared.

Today the Puyanawa wish to recuperate this cattle land by reforesting native and fruit bearing trees, as food for themselves and also to invite wildlife back into these areas.
