        So Cagrú supports the empowerment of indigenous women through solidarity trade and combating all kinds of violence, hunger and poverty, taking advantage of organic agriculture and ancestral knowledge.

        This collective would like to build traditional spaces within the communtiy to practice their arts and re-introduce the traditional building to their community.

         

        95% of homes in the Boruca community are now made with concerete and do not use the traditional methods, So Cagrú would like to build 6 traditional, multi-purpose ranches, and plant 3,000 cacao trees as part of their continued reforestation project.

         

        The funds will pay for the foundations, posts, Royal palm leaves for the roofing, transport & logistics of the materials and 3,000 cacao saplings.
