      • BRI BRI COSMOLOGICAL USURE

        TALAMANCA, COSTA RICA

        broken image

Construction of the Usure, memory house of the world vision of the Bribri-Cabecar people at the Headquarters of the Tchaberu Agrocultural Organisation in Soki, Obli 4 km from the Amubri community, in Limón, Talamanca.

This space will focus on the teaching of spiritual, social and agricultural life, since the way of learning has a close relationship with nature (cosmosentient), it is a reunion between history and the present of a people with a vision different from that of the other dominant culture, which does not contemplate respect for beings and elements, and which is currently in decline due to the development model of the state. This space allows the community to share the words rarely heard by grandparents and grandmothers and that have been inherited from generation to generation in time immemorial, that connect with cultural reality, allowing a meeting of valuable knowledge for social life and spirituality of the people. Through art, music, language, dance, food, drink and agriculture, it recreates the principles for greater self-esteem and identity.
